The Patel's Family Photography
I first met Rickesh and Krishna whilst shooting her sister’s wedding, In Warwickshire, we had the opportunity to take a few couple shots in the afternoon and from that moment onwards, I was part of the couple’s journey to their happily ever after.
The journey first started in Paris with a couple shoot before moving onto their wedding in Leicestershire, and after building such a great relationship with the family I always hoped I would see them again.
When I got the news, Krishna was pregnant and they wanted me to do a baby bump shoot I was obviously really excited to carry on their photography journey, and more importantly catch up with old friends. Riyva had other ideas though so after entering the world 9 weeks early I missed the opportunity for a long overdue catch up.
Six months later, and I was finally allowed to meet the new addition. It was obviously great to catch up with Rickesh and Krishna, but it was super exciting to finally meet Riyva, it appeared Riyva was equally excited as not only did she wake up early, but she followed the camera around constantly for the duration of the shoot.
As with weddings my family photography style is very documentary based, I just love the expressions of the wonderful candid moments that come with documentary family photography session. Often, it’s images that capture a moment have the greatest power over the longer term.
Documentary newborn images are about love and happiness – and I hope as you look through these images you can really feel the love both Rickesh and Krishna have for Riyva.
