For many people who’ve been planning their wedding, picturers are the most important way to conjure up what their dream day is going to look like.
Whether you’ve spent 6 months frantically pinning on pinterest, or a lifetime imagining yourself in the perfect dress, many of us visualise our wedding long before it’s a reality.
Couples planning their weddings almost always have images in mind –the beautiful blooms they might hold, the sun setting over their dreamy venue, or their partner with a tear in their eye during the ceremony. My job is to capture the images that you’ve been anticipating, whether they’ve been in your mind for two months, two years or two decades.
Most couples will agree that the wedding day itself goes by in a whirlwind – and when the day is over, all you’ve got are the images (and a lifetime of happiness!) – so they’re pretty important.
I work hard to capture those real moments as they unfold, ensuring that your wedding photographs tell the story of your day. I’m here to help you create fun memories that will last forever.
Each wedding has its own feel and vibe and I'll capture yours by telling your wedding story in a way that's imaginative and interesting - and most importantly unique to you.
I have to admit I get watery eyes at most of my weddings. Weddings are highly charged with emotion and happiness – I want to help you create a wedding album that brings back those feelings every time you look at it.
When I talk to couples planning their big day, they usually have an idea of what those memorable moments might be. They know if a cringeworthy speech is on the cards, or who might take over the dancefloor throwing some impressive shapes. They’ve got an idea about who’s going to be in floods of tears or who’s going to win the scrum at the bouquet toss.
So most couples have a sense of what the day might look like. They’ve imagined it all! And as that day whizzes past, and they’ve got to catch up with all their guests, be in everyone’s selfie, and try to do everything all at once, it’s my job to capture it all. Documentary photography makes sure all those special moments they’ve imagined don’t get lost for the couple in all the rush and excitement.
Documentary wedding photography is all about natural images of people which capture emotion and the real spirit of the day. It’s not about staged shots – my style is relaxed and natural, so after the big day you can re-live all those spontaneous, joyful moments through your pictures.
My special skill is storytelling. I work really hard to make sure your images capture the story of your day, from early morning nerves to dancefloor abandon. I’ll tell your story in a way that’s imaginative and interesting – and most important of all, reflects your unique personalities.
Most people want to create something different and unique for their wedding. And if you look through the images on this website, you’ll see that no two are the same. That’s because just as you want your day to reflect the individuality of your partnership, I want the images to echo the unique atmosphere of your wedding.
I don’t have a fixed plan of shots that need to happen – of course I can capture the portrait shots and the intimate group family images that you want ( some couples dont ) we do this over zoom before your wedding day, but we can do that quickly and creatively, without traipsing off for two hours and missing that special time with your family and friends. Every shot I take responds to the personalities and atmosphere on the day – and that’s how I create your unique photo story.
