Eastington Park Wedding Photographer – Harriet and Mark’s Day

Eastington Park - A new venue to explore...

I first met Harriet at a wedding fair a year before the day, and we bonded over a mutual love of Cornwall.  Harriet and Mark were looking for relaxed images that reflected the fun and laid-back vibe of their planned wedding day and felt my style was the perfect match for their vision.  I think my excitement to shoot at there venue also helped a little to.

Multi-award winning Eastington Park is a stunning Grade II listed Georgian Manor House set within eight acres of picturesque gardens that enjoy views across the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.  A simply stunning venue that offers me an endless supply of beautiful backdrops for beautiful wedding photos.   Harriet and Mark chose the perfect venue for their spring wedding in the Cotswolds.

Morning Fun at Eastington Park

On the morning, I woke to overcast weather and headed over to Eastington Park early to catch up with Harriet and her wedding party.  I was greeted by Harriet, her mum and the rest of the wedding part who were already fizzing with excitement.  As it was Easter Sunday, two of Harriet’s brides men had set up an egg hunt around the grounds of Eastington Park which was tons of fun, though Harriet bought everybody back on track with her green folder that contained a strict timeline of the day!  Thankfully, the schedule did include champagne so everybody started the celebrations early whilst their hair and make up was being done.

Mark’s preparations were considerably more subdued with Mark visibly nervous.  Mark’s wedding party opted to walk him around Eastington Park’s beautiful grounds to settle his nerves.  Mark is in the RAF so he and his wedding party looked especially smart in traditional uniform.  Though did allow themselves to be a bit silly with personalised socks!

By now, guests were beginning to arrive for the ceremony and welcomed in by a traditional piper.  Once inside they enjoyed pre-ceremony drinks and a mingle.  The atmosphere was one of palpable anticipation.

Harriet’s bridal party, (I say party but there were so many of them that they felt more like an army) looked great in various shades of subtly and muted gold.

Before heading off to the ceremony, one of the party put on their favourite song from the hen do and everybody danced, it was a joyous moment that I captured perfectly.

The wedding ceremony was held in Eastington Park’s elegant ballroom that looked amazing.  The ceremony was very personal and included a lovely reading.  After the ceremony, there was a guard of honour for Harriet and Mark to walk under which created a really special moment in the day.  Afterwards, there was a fun confetti moment before everybody enjoyed a fun drinks reception.

Storytelling wedding photography at Eastington Park

I took my chance to get some great group images of the wedding party. And the image of the bridesmaids dancing under Harriet’s veil was one of my favourites of the day.

With guests happily catered for, I quickly whisked Harriet and Mark away for a few minutes for a romantic photoshoot around the grounds and gardens of Eastington Park.  I got some really love images.

For the wedding reception, guests were seated first so that Harriet and Mark could receive a rapturous welcome from everyone.  Everybody then enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast and some very well received speeches.

After the meal, as guests happily milled about and explored the venue.  I took the chance to whisk Harriet and Mark away for a couple of minutes so I could capture some great images of them on Eastington Park’s famous spiral staircase.

Evening entertainment started with a surprise that Mark had arranged for Harriet.  It was a fire dancer that consisted of a man spinning fire.  It was an unexpected moment that delighted everybody and really set the tone for a fun evening.

Then there was the cutting of the cake and a romantic first dance for Harriet and Mark.  Not that they were alone on the dancefloor for long.  Their guests were itching for a party and it wasn’t long before the dancefloor was full and I was taking some really fun dancefloor images.

With the sun now set and the dancefloor full it was time for me to take my leave.  I loved capturing Harriet and Mark’s wedding at Eastington Park.  A fun filled wedding for a lovely couple at a simply stunning Cotswold wedding venue.  Congratulations to Harriet and Mark and thank you for having me there.  I loved it.
