Christmas weddings always carry a special kind of magic, and Lola and Jacob’s celebration at Bourton Hall was no exception. From the moment I entered the Gatekeeper’s Cottage, I knew this would be an unforgettable day. Lola and her vibrant tribe of bridesmaids greeted me with warm cheers that made me feel like a celebrity. The atmosphere was electric, and the energy between Lola and her mum set the tone for a morning filled with joy and laughter.

Soon, the ever-growing group of ladies made their way to the main bridal suite for final touches and to get into their dresses. But not before a stop by Bourton Hall’s stunning Christmas tree for a festive photo moment. Upstairs, with Prosecco in hand and bacon rolls being devoured, the excitement continued.

Meanwhile, Jacob and his groomsmen had arrived. While the girls basked in laughter and fun, Jacob took on the morning's responsibilities—final checks and greeting guests with calm confidence. It’s often said that grooms have the harder part of the wedding morning, and I could see why.

The ceremony was filled with love, emotion, and laughter. One of the highlights? The couple’s beloved fur baby happily walking down the aisle, perhaps stealing a bit of the bridesmaids' spotlight. After a joyous confetti throw, guests gathered indoors for the drinks reception, perfectly suited to Bourton Hall’s beautiful winter-friendly spaces. The atmosphere was buzzing as the couple mingled, giving me the perfect chance to capture candid moments filled with joy and connection.

One delightful trend for 2024 seems to be white heart-shaped sunglasses, and Lola and Jacob made their grand entrance to the wedding breakfast sporting them. The guests' laughter and cheers were priceless. Not to be outdone, Lola delivered an impressive speech—something I always love to see brides do. Her words were heartfelt and effortlessly engaging.

Then came the real fun. The drinking challenges were extreme, with one guest impressively downing eight shots of whiskey. I felt a little tipsy just watching! The couple had originally planned a champagne spray, but with extra bottles left over, they gathered the entire bridal party for what became the biggest champagne spray event I’ve ever seen. The photos? Pure gold.

Back inside, the dance floor was buzzing. Shots had clearly kicked in, and guests were in full party mode. To top it off, Lola surprised everyone by changing into a stunning second dress, perfect for rocking the dance floor.
