Wedding photography at Cider Mill Barns – Jemma and Asa’s day
Cider Mill Barns Wedding Morning
On the day, I woke to perfect wedding weather (sunny but not too hot!) and headed over to Cider Mill Barns to catch up with Jemma and her bridal party. They were getting ready in Bramley Barn, a beautiful cottage style apartment perfect for bridal preparations.
I found Jemma in the capable hands of her hairstylist and make-up artist. Jemma and her bridesmaids were in great spirits and looking super organised with co-ordinated robes, a brunch of pastries, fruit and juice and there was a bit of bubbly to get the celebrations started early.
I got some great images of Jemma and the bridal party who were so laid back and happy to be photographed.

Asa and his grooms party then arrived; the boys looked very smart in traditional black-tie suits with Asa and Jemma’s young son getting ready in the boot of a car! I got some great images of the men helping one another with their bow ties and button holes.
By now guests were beginning to arrive and were enjoying welcome drinks in the barn.
Jemma looked amazing in a beautifully fitted lace detail dress with a low scooped back and an elegant train that gave her an amazing silhouette in all of my images. And she beamed all day.
I captured a really special first reveal moment first to the bridesmaids (who looked elegant in pistachio colour dresses) followed by a lovely father seeing the bride moment.
The ceremony was held in Cider Mill Barn that has exposed brick walls, stunning oak beams and a beautiful picture window that Jemma and Asa stood in front off to take their vows. Jemma was walked down the aisle by her father.
There followed a really sweet ceremony, that included Jemma and Asa’s son performing the role of ring bearer (which he did very well!) At the end, Jemma and Asa walked back down the aisle a married couple to applause from all of their guests.
There was then a fun confetti moment outside that I captured perfectly. Here, take a look!

I then took lots of great images outside of the wedding party using Cider Mill Barn’s impressive wooden summer house as a backdrop.
Everybody then enjoyed an elegant drinks and canapes reception and were entertained by a magician, who was mingling as a normal guest then surprising guests with tricks.
By now, the Cider Barn had been dressed ready for the wedding breakfast and it looked amazing. Tables were dressed with crisp white linen and elegant candelabras. Guests were seated first so that Jemma and Asa could make an entrance. And they did by dancing in wearing sunglasses.
Everybody then enjoyed a delicious meal with the magician entertaining guests at their tables in between courses. After the food, there were some very well received speeches by Jemma’s dad, Asa, the maid of honour and lastly the best man.
To make the most of the long summer’s day, many guests then headed back outside to take in the sunshine. I took my chance to get some mood yEditorial style images of Jemma, Asa and their wedding party. This was something they’d asked for and I really enjoyed tyring something new. The images I got were so cool.

With guests all happily mingling, chatting and enjoying exclusive use of the venue. I took my chance to whisk Jemma and Asa off for a photoshoot around the beautiful grounds. It was golden hour, so the sun was at its lowest point creating a soft haze that’s perfect for romantic images.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of a delicious looking two-tiered naked wedding cake. For entertainment there was a DJ who really didn’t need to coax anyone onto the dancefloor. Jemma and Asa guests were really up for a party and I got some great dancefloor images.
Once the sun had set, I took Jemma and Asa back outside to take a champagne shot and some more editorial style images of them embracing in front of the fairy lit summer house. And they were the perfect images to close the story of their day.
A fun-filled family friendly wedding at an amazing Warwickshire wedding venue. Congratulations to Jemma and Asa for getting married and thank you for allowing to tell the story of your wedding day. I loved it!

Cider Mill Barns is a recently converted barn wedding venue situated on the border of Warwickshire and the Cotswold. Formerly part of a working farm, it enjoys spectacular countryside views. Sometimes barns can be dark spaces, but Cider Mill Barns enjoy fantastic natural light throughout, that I worked with to create even more beautiful images of Jemma and Asa’s day.
