The The Mill Barns Wedding Photography - featuring my favourite images from this stunning venue.
This venue has a lovely swooping drive down to the barn which makes you feel like it’s at the bottom of a valley. The walled courtyard is really pretty with olive trees, lawns and under cover seating – and the venue is licensed for both indoor and outdoor weddings so you could have your ceremony here if you wanted to.
The courtyard is also perfect for reception drinks and it’s in full view of the dance floor so you could easily extend your evening party outside if the weather’s good. The outside lighting is beautiful which makes it great for photo shoots, especially with the barn lit up in the background. The glass-fronted barn adjacent to the main barn is also a great space for post-wedding drinks.
Swallows Nest Barn is right on the edge of the Cotswolds and surrounded by beautiful countryside so there are lots of opportunities for photos.
And the wedding team is super flexible and helpful – they just want your day to be perfect. You can have your ceremony conducted in the main barn area by a registrar or humanist, or if you’d prefer a religious service, you can bring all your guests back to the venue after the church for drinks and the wedding party.
The food has been awesome at all the weddings I’ve been to there – they have an in-house catering team who’ll work with you to create a bespoke menu for your day. They like to keep things simple and always try and use locally sourced food.
The main barn feels really intimate even though it can seat 120 for the wedding breakfast and has a capacity of 150 for the party. But they’re happy for you to personalise the space and use it how you like.
I love it there – it’s a real favourite of mine.
