Hayley and Craig – Part II! Naas Court farm Wedding Photography Gloucester

I’ve talked to you already about Hayley and Craig’s small but perfectly formed wedding at Warwick House, which took place back in May. But today I get to tell you about the second half of their wedding! That’s right, they loved the day (and the photos) so much, they came back for round 2, this time at the lovely Naas Court farm in Gloucestershire.

Well, technically, Hayley and Craig decided to have another wedding day because they wanted to include all those friends and family who weren’t able to come the first time round because of pandemic restrictions. I LOVE that Hayley and Craig held a second event – if the last couple of years has taught us anything, it’s that getting people together is so important, and it proved to be a really special occasion.

Naas Court Farm, in the Forest of Dean, has a gorgeous, rustic-feeling wedding barn. The barn has a less polished, more romantic sort of atmosphere than many venues, and it made the perfect setting for this cider-fuelled knees up.

Because Hayley and Craig had already done the formal and legal parts of the wedding a few months before, the whole day at Naas Court Farm had a lovely, relaxed feel and meant that they could spend their time catching up with their friends, rather than worrying about the little details.

Hayley and Craig were using my Vlog your Wedding service, where I provide all the gear and the editing skills to create a fun, informal video vlog that captures all the energy and spirit of the day with footage that the wedding party and guests take themselves. They were primed and ready with their cameras, and boy did they get some entertaining footage for me to work with…

It was a roasting hot day when the guests arrived, and everyone shared canapes and plenty of drinks while they caught up about the last 18 months. The formalities of the day were limited to a sit-down dinner and a couple of speeches, and the rest of the evening was devoted to partying and celebrating all together – which as we all know, is one of the best bits of weddings anyway!

I always think there’s nothing better for a wedding day than live music, and the band that Hayley and Craig had hired treated the guests to a brilliant set which had everyone up, dancing, and drinking in the late afternoon sun. Gorgeous natural light, an idyllic setting in rural Gloucestershire, and a barn full of people having a good time – a photographer’s dream.

Hayley and Craig had asked me to take some portrait pictures of them this time, so we headed down to the local marina to take some images. With the weather on our side, we managed to get some beautiful sunset pictures against the marina backdrop, and it was lovely for the two of them to take a few minutes out of the party to be together. When we headed back, the sunset provided a perfect setting for Hayley and Craig’s first dance outside on the grass, and Naas Court was looking very romantic and rambling in the evening glow.

The evening food and entertainment were spot on and had everyone in the mood to party. Hayley and Craig had booked a DJ with a sax player, which was the perfect music to keep the good vibes going. A few different food vans were ready to serve the guests, who could choose from a number of cuisines, including Mexican street food and traditional fish and chips. All in all it was a fantastic, love-fuelled day, and – unless a third celebration is in the offing? – a beautiful way for Hayley and Craig’s friends to wish them a very happy marriage.
