Verity and Adam - Park Farm Wedding Photography

Verity and Adam were married at Park Farm, on the Northamptonshire/Warwickshire border, near Daventry. It’s a really idyllic venue, set in the heart of the Midlands and not only is it a wedding venue but a working farm, so I love it when I’m booked for weddings there as there’s lots to see with the changing of the seasons. I’m a preferred supplier at Park Farm and it’s great to go back time and again to see how each couple has made the place their own.

Bridal prep for Verity, however, started off in her home with her brother, partner, two kids and one of her bridesmaids. It was a really relaxed morning, without too many nerves on display, and I could tell the whole family was excited that the day had finally arrived. Everyone had the chance to have some bubbly together, and they reminisced about the travelling Verity and Adam had done overseas.

In fact, Adam had made a surprise photo book for Verity which was filled with memories of their life abroad. It had been delivered to the wrong address so the morning of the wedding, Adam was frantically calling Royal Mail to try to track it down and get it delivered in time. Fortunately, it arrived before make up was applied, because it was a real tear jerker. It was a very touching moment as Verity looked through the book and was reminded of all their adventures together.

Verity and Adam had a videographer for their wedding, too. I often get jokes about being in competition or rivalry with videographers if we’re both booked in, but I actually LOVE working with videographers, especially if we have complementary styles. Verity and Adam had planned it well, and their videographer had a similar documentary style to my own, so it was great to discuss our ideas together (and to geek out about our tech and the lovely golden hour !) https://www.epicmediauk.com/epic-love-films

The weather forecast on the day of the wedding was not looking good…but somehow, Verity and Adam pulled it out the bag, because despite numerous dark gloomy clouds overhead, the rain kept away, and the sun showed its face.

Adam’s dad acted as his best man – and he certainly kept us all on our toes! Most best men like to take a supportive background role, calming the nerves of the groom and generally keeping a low profile until it’s time for their speech, but not Adam’s dad! It was clear he was delighted to be part of his son’s wedding and his playful relationship with Adam was the cause of much merriment throughout the day. He certainly made his presence known on the dancefloor and he even managed to try out Verity’s veil! It was such a delight to see how happy he was for the bride and groom.

Verity and Adam’s wedding was specially planned to allow everyone to relax, mingle, and catch up with each other, so there was no long seated meal – instead they laid on a barbecue, so their wedding guests were sitting on the hay bales outside enjoying their food, or wandering around the lovely Park Farm and the beautiful Warwickshire countryside it’s set in.

There was no lack of entertainment, however, as Verity and Adam had arranged for a crazy golf company to come and set up a course at the farm, which ignited the more competitive side of some of their guests, as they’d even arranged a prize for the winner! Sadly the young victor was not legally allowed to enjoy their prize – a bottle of champers – so a kindly adult had to selflessly help them out with it (what a hardship).

After some photographs in the glorious Warwickshire sunset, the dancing began, but plenty of wedding guests were also enjoying Park Farm’s huge fire pit, which makes a lovely focal point for people who aren’t so hot on the dancefloor to hang out, stay warm, and watch the sun set on a gorgeous day.

Thanks Verity and Adam – and here’s to many more adventures together!
