National Motorcycle Museum Wedding Photographer – Daniella and Krzysiek’s Day

 Pre Wedding Meeting

In our pre-meeting, Daniella and Krzysiek were worried about the early inter sunsets ( it being dark )  and where they would do a photoshoot outside in what is essentially a carpark.  So, I went along to the National Motorcycle Museum for a recky to work out how I could make best use a  outdoor photoshoot that Daniella and Krzysiek would be thrilled with.  As soon as I saw the orange shipping containers and the silver doors, I knew I could create something super urban and cool.

On the day, I started by heading to see Daniella and her bridal party who were getting ready together.   As expected, there was high energy from Daniella, her school friends and her three nieces.  I got some great bridal preparation images and the girls had hired some of my fun vlog cameras to further document the events of the day.  Daniella’s parents arrived a little later and I got some lovely images of them too.

Daniella looked amazing in a stunning white lehenga that she styled with beautiful Indian jewellery and had intricate henna make-up on her hands.  As homage to the Indian side of her family.

Daniella and Krzysiek had hired a second photographer to capture their day, allowing the two of us to literally be in two places at once.  The second shooter captured Krzysiek and his grooms party getting ready and got some funny images of Krzysiek making an extra hole in his belt.   Krzysiek looked very smart in a petrol blue three-piece suit with an orange tie, his insta followers would be thrilled.

Krzysiek and his grooms party picked up guests on a minibus where the party atmosphere began as soon as they left.  Especially as on arrival guests were treated to a welcome from a traditional Scottish piper.  This time a nod to Daniella’s Scottish side of the family.

The wedding ceremony was held in The Trafalgar Room at the National Motorcycle Museum.  This large, classic and elegant room has high ceilings with amazing chandeliers.  After a gorgeous wedding ceremony everybody enjoyed a drinks reception and I took my chance to get some candid images of guests mingling and enjoying refreshments.  The images of the men on the Scottish side of the family huddling around trying to get away with watching the Rangers game were so fun!

It rained outside during the drinks reception but there was a short break in the rain just before the food so I whisked Daniella and Krzysiek outside for a few minutes to get some romantic portrait images of them by the containers.  I was thrilled with the images I got; they were my favourites of the day.  Here, take a look!

Then it was time for the wedding breakfast and The Trafalgar Room at the National Motorcycle Museum was dressed beautifully for the occasion.  Guests were seated first and Daniella and Krzysiek got to make an impressive entrance accompanied by traditional Indian dohl drummers, who delighted everyone and really set the tone for a fun wedding reception.

Guest then enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast and some very well received speeches.  These were followed by two sets of traditional Indian dancing with music provided by the very talented DJ Nav.  I love capturing Asian wedding photography as Asian weddings really suit my style of documentary wedding photography, as I love capturing the colour, vibrancy and joy that traditional Asian weddings bring.

And, is if that wasn’t enough dancing, for the evening celebrations Daniella and Krzysiek opted for a full-on rave complete with bucket hats, light wands and hardcore rave music.  The dance floor was packed and I took some really fun dancefloor images.

With the sun now set and the dancefloor full it was time for me to take my leave.  But I wanted the perfect last image.  So, I quickly whisked Daniella and Krzysiek outside for a champagne popping image under the star lit sky.

It was the perfect image to close the story of Daniella and Krzysiek’s day.

A fantastic wedding with a fusion of influences that was full of love and laughter.  Congratulations to Daniella and Krzysiek for getting married and creating such an amazing day for yourselves and your family and friends to remember.  I hope my images will allow you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
