Shropshire Wedding Photography - Some of my favourite wedding Images from Conor & Leanne's wedding in Shropshire.
I knew it was going to be a day full of adventure when the Mother of the Bride arrived in her rabbit onesie. Although really I shouldn’t have been surprised with the outfit as this wasn’t the first time I’d met this family. I’d photographed Joanne’s (Leanne’s sister) wedding two years ago at http://blakelands.co.uk/. It was great to be reunited with this family as I knew I could capture lots of fun moments throughout the wedding day at The Mill Barns.
My first encounter of Conor also reinforced this. “Any photographer who lies down in a field for a picture is a top photographer”. Well I naturally took this a compliment and a challenge - what would I be known for from Leanne and Conor’s wedding?
Despite being hit by bad weather this was possibly one of the easiest winter wedding’s I had to photograph for a couple of reasons. The Mills Barns on the Shropshire, Worcestershire border, is a purpose-built barn for weddings. Therefore, the lighting was already perfectly set up for me (although those of you who follow me, will know that this didn’t stop me using some of my own lighting to create some of my signature shots).
Despite West Mill being a barn, being purposely built allows for a photographer to get around the oak-framed rooms with ease because it’s so spacious. But the main reason for this being a wedding where I could capture so much was down to the immense attention to detail that Leanne had gone into. No matter where I looked there would be endless opportunities for me which always excites me as a photographer.
Be it the branding of Mr & Mrs Passey that was present throughout the day, (from the individually branded boxer shorts for the groom’s party, the beautifully presented favourites or the larger than life signage in the Wedding Breakfast Barn), or the subtle touches (remembering those who couldn’t be there, the intricate detail of the lacing on the wedding dress or the wooden doves hanging in the decorations), it was undeniably a feast for the eyes.
“hell yeah” 3 WEDDING Dresses
I’m not sure what Conor would say was so memorable about my photography on his wedding day but for me it was the moments of laughter that I captured. From the “hell yeah” declaration of acceptance by Leanne during the vows, the sword fighting during the carving or the moves on the dance floor made by Leanne in her third dress of the day, this wedding absolutely captured the essence of ‘happily ever after’.
